Quinting, one of the most prestigious watch brands which is known worldwide by its unique transparent watches with sapphire movement, decided this year to welcome its guests in the atmosphere of modern comfort and luxurious elegance offered by the splendid five-star Hotel de la Paix in Geneva. For its independent exhibition that was held on 3-9 April 2006, Quinting, who has gained the title of a Peace watchmaker, thanks to the great success met by its watch of Peace, the chronograph “Dove of Geneva” worn by presidents of several states, has chosen the right place. In fact, Hotel de la Paix means the Hotel of Peace.
This year, Quinting, showed off two limited editions, the time-only watch the Lady Dove and the chronograph CR24H as well as the new series of small-seconds watch the Mysterious Quardinal.
‘The Lady Dove’. Limited edition. After the great success that met the chronograph of peace “Dove of Geneva” becoming the watch of Presidents working for peace, Quinting launches this year the watch of peace for women “The Lady Dove”. This limited edition released in the number of 192 timepieces which corresponds to the number of the United Nations’ member-countries, is a truly feminine and exquisite watch. Two white doves “fly” inside of the transparent sapphire movement of the Transparency watch made of white gold and set with white diamonds on bezel.
“CR24H” (Car Race 24 Hours). Limited Edition. Dynamic look, large diameter of 43,8 mm, this model has been designed by Quinting to pay tribute to the first Swiss racing drivers who will compete in the 24 Hours of Le Mans car races in June 2006. The collection is limited to 24 pieces in each style and available in 7 variations: black dial and rose, white or yellow gold caseback, white dial and rose, white or yellow gold caseback, and chrome finish dial and white gold caseback. Three first chronographs of this limited edition are dedicated to three racing drivers of the Swiss national team and individually numbered with their blood group.
The small-seconds watch “The Mysterious Quardinal” is in line with all Quinting’s watches and has the same main characteristic that makes all of them so unique. It is the perfect transparency of the sapphire movement framed in precious materials and stones. The design of “The Mysterious Quardinal” that echoes the Mysterious Quinting chronograph is immediately recognizable. The large diameter and considerable thickness that are in vogue today make this watch impossible to ignore for both observer and wearer. At 43,8 mm across (without the crown) and 14 mm thick, “The Mysterious Quardinal” case is perfectly proportioned that makes this timepiece an everlasting and classical masterpiece which is not influenced by fashions or trends of the moment.
