WOODSIDE, QUEENS, April 13, 2006 – Local publican Tony Bracken, of Uncle Tony’s, has booked the renowned DJ “V” for an encore performance of her “Karaoke Night” for Saturday night.
“They say that lightning doesn’t strike twice”, said Bracken, “but we were lucky to get V to come back for a second time. V’s Karaoke Nights make the Plasmatics look like Lawrence Welk!”
V’s last appearance brought in a record crowd for a Saturday night. This Saturday’s event will begin a 8 o’clock. Given the enthusiasm generated by V’s notoriety, doors will open at 6 o’clock.
Dave Mc Laughlin, a local conceptual artist, was at V’s earlier appearance at Uncle Tony’s and was thrilled to hear of this exciting encore performance. “V’s last show was a gas!”, exclaimed Mc Laughlin, “The cops came twice!”
V’s chosen theme for her upcoming series of Karaoke Nights is “Off Our Tits!”
