Pittsford, NY: owa2X is a new family of powerful, adaptable hardware platforms with open, user-friendly software designed for wireless applications in a wide range of M2M (machine-to-machine) applications.
owa22A is an embedded GSM/GPRS/GPS module with open software intended for the private or commercial automotive wireless applications such as fleet management, automatic locating of vehicles, emergency and theft, telephony, in-vehicle automation and control, positioning services, etc.
owa22I is a remote industrial GSM/GPRS module, designed for wireless data applications such as local network (LAN) extensions, or, for instance, connecting vending machines, recreational machines, etc., without having to physically check each one, or wireless solutions to control geographically scattered machinery.
Both offer similar characteristics: GPRS Class 8 (4+1), GSM dual band 850/1900, ARM7 processor processing at up to 60 MIPS, LinuxOS and 8 Mbyte Flash Memory, TCP/IP Stack for transparent connection to Internet, RS232, RS485, CAN, Audio, analog and digital I/O for general use, small size and an optional integrated safety battery. Application software can be wirelessly downloaded.
owa22A-BT is an embedded GSM/GPRS/BluetoothTM/GPS module for private and commercial vehicles, designed for fleet management, automatic vehicle location, emergency and theft, telephony, on-board control, positioning services, etc. Now, GSM/GPRS/BluetoothTM and GPS connectivity coexist within a single device! In addition to the standard owa22x specs, owa22A-BT offers Bluetooth™ connection to 100 meters, Host USB 1.1, Bluetooth™ serial port emulation, IP Routing and Firewall.
owa22A-ETH is a wireless embedded computer with on-board networking capabilities. In addition to the standard owa22X features, owa22A-ET offers: USB 1.1 host connectivity, Ethernet 10baseT (10 Mbps, RJ45), TCP/IP stack for transparent Internet Connection, Embedded IP Routing and Firewall, battery-backed Real Time Clock.
A Universal Development Kit for each owa2X is available to enable users to make rapid progress with their project (from $1199).
