Easter fun for the entire family
Head to Edmonds for an egg hunt and more, or check out the Bunny Bounce at the zoo.

Ask kids what they are looking forward to this weekend and most likely it has something to do with chocolate bunnies, painted eggs and brightly colored baskets.
Easter is a fun time for the family to get together and head out to an egg hunt. Outdoor events make hunts extra special for the kids, but if the weather is wet and wild, head indoors to scrounge around for eggs without having to bundle up.
The following is a smattering of events throughout the area that may be a good pick for Easter family fun:
Edmonds City Park at Third and Howell in Edmonds will host an Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday. Kids up to 1 year old are invited to the wading pool at 10 a.m. to see if the Easter Bunny has been by to hide any eggs. Those 4 to 10 years old will look around the play field at the same time. At 10:15 a.m., children 2 to 3 years old will hunt throughout the playground.
Families are encouraged to bring a nonperishable food item for the food bank. Empty your basket of much needed food then fill it with eggs, looking out specifically for magical golden eggs. Those could win you a special prize.

Another free egg hunt for children up to 13 will be from 11 a.m. to noon Sunday on the field at Hawthorne Elementary School in Everett, courtesy of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles lodge No. 13.
Purchased wrapped candy in plastic Easter eggs with other prizes will be up for grabs. The area will be divided for younger children.
Hawthorne Elementary is at 1110 Poplar in Everett.
We all know there are lions, and tigers, and bears at the zoo. But did you know that the Easter Bunny goes there once a year too?
Take a hop, skip and a jump to Woodland Park Zoo for the 5th annual Bunny Bounce event. Super Easter events will be from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, including egg hunts for kids 1 to 8 years old, crafts and bunny photos. The egg hunt is on a first-come, first-served basis. Activities are free with zoo admission.
If you'd rather munch at the zoo's Easter Brunch, head down there from 9 to 11 a.m. on Sunday. Brunch will be served at the Rain Forest Food Pavilion and will include carved ham, potatoes, fruits and pastries. Cost for members is $21.95 for adults; $12.95 for ages 3 to 10; free for kids ages 2 and under.

Come rain or shine, a Spring Egg Hunt will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday at Bastyr University on the campus grounds. The event will start promptly and will feature events for kids 1 to 3, 4 to 6, and 7 to 12 years old.
Bring your own baskets for collecting eggs. Special prizes will be hidden for winners in each age group. Face painting will also be available, and someone special is sure to hop in at 10:15 a.m.
