Microsoft? Why people hate and like them? (As researched and reported by arcon5.com)
Microsoft is primarily a software producing company. Although, it does venture into other markets frequently, its main source of revenue is software. It is by charging extortionate prices on its products (such as Windows and Office) that it is able to make abnormal profits, ranking as one of the wealthiest organizations to date.
The reason it can do this is because it effectively dominates, has a monopoly over, the operating system. Its pride and joy is Windows, which is responsible for so much of its success and its fat wallet, yet it is so flawed and unreliable compared to other OS’s on the market. Every time a competitor emerges in the market Microsoft stamps it out at the earliest opportunity with either a take-over, or more commonly by copying the idea and incorporating it into one of their bigger software packages (Windows, Office) effectively driving them out of the market.
So why do we buy Windows? Well the question should be do we have a choice? With most computers having Windows as standard when bought and software being developed for windows as a necessity other operating systems are left out of the loop e.g. Mac, Linux.
Microsoft are eager to indicate that they are pushing the boundaries of computer innovation ever further. However, this is incorrect. As a consumer it is desirable to have competition as that leads to choice, cheaper prices and innovation. Microsoft is lazy! They have no incentive to make flawless products of great quality simply because there is no alternative on offer. The truth is, to some extent, we're stuck with Windows whether we like it or not.

There is speculation that here are folders on your computer that Microsoft has tried hard to keep secret.
Time and again small but innovative high-tech developers enter into partnerships with Microsoft, only to find that Microsoft broke agreements, stole their technology, did not deliver, then dumped them on the edge of bankruptcy.

Microsoft deliberately make their products bigger than necessary.
Each individual can make their own judgement based on what they read. Also remember that Microsoft do have their strong points, such as, they have the funds to develop in to research further if necessary, they donate millions of pounds to charity each year. Some people are not interested in the economic aspects of Microsoft or their ethics or values. Some people think better of Microsoft. But some people don't.

I look at why so many people of different categories (home users, developers, advanced computer users, specialists) hate the Microsoft corporating, why they receive so much criticism?, and why they ar
