Italian Film Group is pleased to announce the 2006 New York Italian Film Festival. The premiere annual event celebrating over 100 years of Italian & Italian-American Cinema!

It will run from October 5th - 8th, 2006. The screenings, events & parties will take place throughout New York City, in a variety of locations. The NYIFF was founded & incorporated in 2000.

The New York Italian Film Festival is a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness of the Italian culture and heritage through Cinema & the Arts.

As October has always been �Italian Heritage� month, the plan is for the festival to segue with the Columbus Day Parade. The festival is expected to attract a multicultural audience. A seamless celebration when the Italian-American spirit soars!

Entries should comply with at least ONE of the following: The film must have an overall Italian or Italian-American theme. The film was directed, produced or stars an Italian or Italian descent. The film was produced in Italy.

Features, Shorts, Documentaries & Student films will be accepted. No entry fee will be required to submit. Please email italianfilmfestival@gmail.com for an official entry submission form. All entries must be received no later than August 1st, 2006.
