Boston, MA (April 2006) – The area’s premier antique dealers will display their collections at a new South Shore antiques show where everyone from the casual collector to the experienced investor will find a treasure. “Antiques At Winslowe’s View,” hosted by The Green Company at their award-winning Winslowe’s View neighborhood at The Pinehills in Plymouth, will take place Saturday, May 20th and Sunday, May 21st, 2006.
“We’re excited to host “Antiques at Winslowe’s View,” the first New England Antiques Show of it’s kind on the South Shore,” said Dominique Sampson, Vice President, Sales and Marketing, The Green Company. “We strive to create quality events that build a sense of community and can be enjoyed by Winslowe’s View residents and visitors.”
Antiquities from the 18th to the early 20th Century will be available, including Federalist and Victorian furniture, European and Asian ceramics, china, sterling silver, art, estate jewelry, and antique toys.
Additional antiques available at the show include Dresden figurines and other collectibles, Native American art and baskets, fine 19th and 20th century oil paintings, Victorian majolica, sewing items, quilts and linens, British enamelware, walking sticks, historic flasks, American coin silver, period lighting, frames and mirrors, European porcelain and Bohemian glass, silver heirlooms, Japanese art, New England country and formal furniture, cupboards, brass bells, clocks, 18th and 19th century vanity and desk accessories and other unique home furnishings.
An antique appraisal clinic will also be provided on Saturday, May 20th from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Roy Mennell, past president of the Cape Cod Antique Dealers Association and past Vice President of the Cape Cod Art Museum will be providing verbal appraisals for a $5 per item fee to be donated to the Friends of the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
Admission to Antiques at Winslowe’s View is FREE. Hours are Saturday, May 20 and Sunday, May 21 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Directions to Winslowe’s View at The Pinehills: From Boston, take Route 93 South to Route 3 South.
