April 26, 2006 (Press Release) --
Kuala Lumpur, 20 April 2006 – Duta Junior Tennis Academy, the premier tennis academy in Malaysia is beginning to establish itself as a formidable training centre across the borders.
From its humble beginnings and short span of 6 years, it has been responsible for grooming national junior players. Now the academy is making its mark providing stints for a growing number of tournament players from around the world. With the expertise and experience of its founder Head Coach, V. Selvam, the academy has attracted junior ITF and WTA ranked players from Singapore, Australia, Sri Lanka and Germany for training stints.
V. Selvam is optimistic about the academy’s prospects within the near future. Selvam said “we are able to reach out further and get more people to discover our quality and value for money training. There are hundreds of players from around the world who are all working hard to get to the top rankings. They have to invest considerably for training, traveling for tournaments, equipment and other needs. Many players are starting to look for alternative training centers out of US and Europe. They are looking for high standard training at reasonable cost and we fill this need”.
The high quality training is testified by their trainees. Magnus Hoffmann of Germany said “ when I first came to the Academy, I wasn’t sure what to expect because Malaysia is not considered a tennis nation. But from the first day, I was surprised and impressed how serious and professional they work here on and off the court. After quite a short time, I really improved in each part of my game and I also became a better person”.
Another parent from Singapore, Frank Siegfried, said “My daughter enjoyed training sessions of the highest quality and intensity that we have experienced in Asia-Pacific. The coaches not only displayed outstanding expertise about all aspects of tennis and physical fitness, but also provide the right mix of professional, hard working attitudes while on the courts. In particular, we were impressed by their passion and personal commitment to improve the players performance. The facilities are in good condition and appropriate for a tennis academy of this standard. We will certainly recommend it to other players”.
The academy also holds complete programs for junior development – junior training program, tennis camps and clinics that are at very affordable rates.. The development programs are set in a fun filled and exciting atmosphere that kids of all walks of life in Malaysia enjoy.
