Without becoming the school geek, there are things you can do to promote exercise and healthy eating at your school.
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention offers these suggestions:
Ask the principal or a teacher to help you start a student health council at your school.
Create games or contests to promote healthy eating and getting exercise.
In nice weather, consider walking to school and encouraging others to do so.
Lead exercise breaks in the classroom to help improve concentration and relieve stress.
