May 2, 2006 (Press Release) --
What if it were YOUR child? Scary medical procedures. Long hospital stays. Missing out on carefree kid times. Children with critical illness need a little extra love from us all.
Grandma Marsha Jordan believes kids shouldn't have to hurt; but when they do, she's there. In 2000, after her grandson was seriously injured, Jordan learned firsthand how hopeless a loving adult feels when their little one is suffering. In an effort to provide more smiles for suffering children, Jordan created The HUGS and HOPE Foundation ( www.hugsandhope.org ).
Now she's written a book of inspirational essays, illustrated with over 40 heart warming drawings created by sick kids around the country. In "HUGS, HOPE, and Peanut Butter: Finding light after life's storms", Jordan shares hilarious accounts of everything from in-laws, car accidents and a day in the emergency room, to wild bears, pet pigs, and very male husbands.
Laugh out loud, be inspired, and help sick kids at the same time. You can do it all with this book. Visit www.hugsandhope.org/pb.htm
