FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) May 8, 2006 -- Brock Blake, CEO of FundingUniverse.com, made this year’s vSpring Capital list of Top 100 Venture Entrepreneurs.

The list honors entrepreneurs who have business in or have ties to Utah. Blake joins fellow entrepreneurs from around the state such as Patrick Byrne, CEO of Overstock.com, Josh James, CEO of Omniture, Shawn Nelson, Founder/CEO of LoveSac and others.

“I am humbled and honored to join such an elite group of successful entrepreneurs,” Blake said.

Blake emphasized that while it is an honor to be on the list, the recognition does not solely belong to him.

“In reality, this public recognition reveals the extraordinary efforts of my partners and the FundingUniverse.com team,” Blake stated.

humble about his recognition, many others willingly praise the FundingUniverse.com CEO.

"Brock is a visionary leader with an uncanny ability to see the end from the beginning in business,” said Jeff Jordan, COO of FundingUniverse.com. “At the age of 25 he has lead a successful start-up, raised a round of funding from VCs and angel investors, and created an impressive professional network. He is certainly one of Utah's entrepreneurial gems."

According to a vSpring Capital press release, "The v|100 recognizes leadership and innovative excellence and fosters better networking in the entrepreneurial community within the state," said Dinesh Patel, managing director of vSpring Capital. "This year's v|100 includes some very remarkable

people. The list itself serves as an instructive demonstration of the state's potential for growth and development, especially in the technology sector."

vSpring Capital uses the following guidelines to select entrepreneurs who would be on the list:
Individuals who would be most likely to lead a successful venture in the next 5-7 years in IT or Biotech industries.
Individuals both with or without current involvement in a startup
Individuals with ties to the region (but not required to be Utah residents)
Individuals who would be the CEO/CTO of a new venture.
