May 13, 2006 (Press Release) --
(Atlanta, Georgia) May 01, 2006 — Ahavath Achim (AA) Synagogue, the largest and oldest
conservative synagogue in Atlanta, Georgia, plans to turn heads this summer with AAbsolut Shabbat;
a Friday evening Shabbat (Sabbath) service like nobody has ever seen, or heard.
AAbsolut Shabbat services, led by Rabbi Neil Sandler and Rabbi Irit Printz, will feature live music
with Cantor Joel Fox and The Band. There will be a social gathering with wine, liquor and light
appetizers prior to AAbsolut Shabbat Services, which will held be outdoors in a casual setting. The
AA synagogue wants AAbsolut Shabbat to be different from anything any Atlanta synagogue has
ever offered. The music will be diverse and contemporary, and its spiritual message will be thoughtprovoking.
“I am looking forward to giving congregants an exhilarating experience,” Says Cantor Joel Fox,
cantor of AA Synagogue and musical coordinator of AAbsolut Shabbat “this will be a spiritual
escape from the ordinary, a Shabbat people will remember and want to repeat.”
AAbsolut Shabbat services will be held monthly beginning June 9th, 2006 at 8:00pm. Services will
be at AA Synagogue, 600 Peachtree Battle Avenue, Atlanta, Georgia, 30327. Please call to reserve
