May 17, 2006 (Press Release) --
Michigan – Women convicted of prostitution or illegal nude dancing might soon find themselves exposed – on the web.
Welcome to the online world of exposing lawbreakers.
www.dancermugshots.blogspot.com have taken up the call to expose women convicted of prostitution and illegal sex acts.
Call it the online version of the popular television show "America’s Most Wanted."
The website will post pictures release by the department of corrections from states throughout the country.
The goal of the site is to let people know that “once you are convicted, we are going to put your face out there, so your neighbors will know,” said Mr.Warren, editor of the web site.
“If you illegally sell your body for money, the whole world will know.”
Last year Florida investigators returned to the scene of the grind, arresting more than two- dozen strippers in an undercover investigation. According to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office, the dancers were allegedly involved in a variety of criminal activities, including cocaine peddling, prostitution, lewdness, exposure of sexual organs, and the improper solicitation of alcohol sales.
“We’re taking steps to shame these people from this dangerous lifestyle of prostitution and nude dancing,” Warren said. “It’s time someone take a hard stance on prostitution because it’s getting out of hand.”
