May 24, 2006 (Press Release) -- Greenfingers.com and Petplanet.co.uk join ipoints.co.uk

Two of the UK’s leading home and garden-related e-tailers, Greenfingers.com and Petplanet.co.uk, are joining ipoints.co.uk, the UK’s biggest online loyalty programme. Each company will be using the ipoints loyalty programme to give their customers better value through rewarding purchases, while at the same time increasing average order value, repeat purchase and brand awareness. In addition, the companies expect to attract significant numbers of new customers from amongst the million consumers who are already members of the ipoints.co.uk loyalty scheme.

Says Geraldine Tosh, Managing Director at ipoints.co.uk, “Greenfingers.com and Petplanet.co.uk are fantastic additions to our loyalty programme. Both are market leaders in their respective sectors and therefore understand the importance of providing differentiation and added value to attract and keep customers in the promiscuous online environment.

Kevin Hague, Managing Director of both Greenfingers.com and Petplanet.co.uk, adds, “We believe the importance of online loyalty schemes is set to increase dramatically as online shoppers increasingly shop across a portfolio of trusted online sites. We believe that ipoints.co.uk offers a powerful value proposition and that our sites will both contribute to, and benefit from, the value of the growing ipoints community.”

Through ipoints.co.uk, customers of Greenfingers.com and Petplanet.co.uk can earn ipoints for every £1 they spend with these brands and have the opportunity to multi-collect with other partners represented on the ipoints.co.uk website. This ability to multi-collect points across a variety of retailers means that the ipoints become real, valuable currency as consumers can quickly collect enough points to achieve a major reward. They can then exchange these ipoints for a wide variety of free gifts from CDs and books, to free flights and holidays, skydiving, cameras and Ipods.

Greenfingers.com aims to provide its customers with ‘inspiration for their garden’, whilst Petplanet.co.uk is for ‘all your pet needs’. Both companies are members of the M8 Group of companies and they add to the growing portfolio of ipoints partners which includes leading online names such as ChoicesUK.com, 101cd.com, Gfk NOP, Moonpig.com & Webfetch.com.
