The German Federal Environment Foundation is one of the largest foundations in Europe, promoting innovative, exemplary projects for environmental protection in the areas of environmental technology, environmental communication, and protection of cultural assets, environmental research and nature protection. Small and medium-sized companies are instrumental in these projects. The German Federal Environment Foundation gives these companies the opportunity to put their ideas into practice.
General requirements for assistance are:
Innovation
The project must distinguish itself clearly from the current state of research and technology and represent progress.
Model character
The project must be interesting for a wide range of applications, e.g. for an entire sector and be conducive to rapid implementation under customary commercial conditions.
Environmental protection
The project must embrace new and additional methods of protecting the environment.
