May 28, 2006 (Press Release) --
Toronto, May 28, 2006 - Google. Yahoo. MSN. The three giants. As talks of a new feud between them mount, OnFrench Linguistic Consulting launches a very simple search alternative with a very simple English interface.
"The basic idea behind the search engine was to add value to our client relationships, by 1) offering an easy-to-use search engine alternative to fuel our client's Internet searches and 2) after further development, offer them free targeted advertising spaces to increase their visibility. Because of the simplicity of the search engine, our traffic expectations after getting out of the sandbox are in the range of 100,000 searches per month, which should increase some of our clients’ turnaround, hence solidifying our business relationships with them. It’s a win-win situation, as we also expect an increase of our own sales", explains Yvan Pineault, owner of OnFrench Linguistic Consulting.
The search results of the search engine are MSN-based, while the related searches are pulled from the Overture Keyword Tool. "This adds relevance, and because related searches are pooled from Overture, it helps with keyword-based campaigns. Advertising on the Web can be very costly. This helps in targetting the right keyword and to reduce the costs... not to mention save time", adds Pineault. "We hope our clients will also find a way to benefit from this."
OnFrench Linguistic Consulting is a Toronto-based translation agency founded in 2004. Since the start of 2006, it has ventured into web-based activities, building a eclectic portfolio of sites. "Our next venture is linked to the Mindfreeze search engine. We have secured 100 domains relevant to our clients' activities. Added value, that's all there is to it", concludes Pineault.
