ASUSTeK COMPUTER (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (ASUS) announced today the special edition W7 notebooks in celebration of the 60th anniversary of His Majesty’s accession to the throne.

(ASUS), a leading provider of computer, communication and consumer electronic solutions, announced today the special edition W7 notebooks in celebration of the 60th anniversary of His Majesty’s accession to the throne.

With its strong commitment and contribution to the local community, ASUS joins the Thai public everywhere in the world in celebrating one of Thailand’s most important historical events as it also offers part of the sales proceeds of this notebook to His Majesty the King.

The logo of the 60th anniversary of His Majesty’s accession to the throne is included on the BIOS and the notebook cover and the serial numbers from 1 to 999 on the palm rest,” said Khun Pornthep WatcharaAm-nuai, Country Manager of ASUSTeK Computer (Thailand). “This notebook is very unique since only 999 units are available for sale nationwide.”

With 13.3" WXGA (1280x800) color shine TFT LCD, the ASUS W7F20DSM notebook offers a high resolution screen, slimness and light weight at a mere 1.95kg. Users
can enjoy wire-free video communication with built-in 1.3-megapixel camera and microphone.

On this auspicious occasion, ASUS has designed and produced 999 special blessing cards for those who order these limited edition notebooks. In addition, partial proceeds and nine units of the W7F20DSM will be presented to His Majesty the King in a special ceremony.

ASUS will host a special one-day event for those who have ordered to pick up their units and celebrate the 60th anniversary of His Majesty’s accession to the throne at 10:00 am – 7:00 pm on 3 June 2006 on the ground floor of Siam Center. What's more, those who confirm their orders can receive an upgrade from 80GB to 100GB hard disk from today until 31 May 2006.
