June 1, 2006 (Press Release) -- With nominations that started on May 1st, 2006 and ending August 15th, 2006 the Southern Entertainment Awards (SEA) are off to a great start and is going better than expected stated the SEA staff. The Southern Entertainment Awards will recognize and honor the people that make the South one of the most diverse and dynamic music and entertainment entities of today.


The South's industry elite will gather at the Grand Tunica Casino Resort Event Center for the 4th Annual Southern Entertainment Awards which is set to take place from January 25-28, 2007. While having over 4 days of festivities planned including the SEA Happy Hour and Artist Showcase, SEA Kick Off Party, S.E.A. Industy Insight Pt. 1 Conference, National DJ Alliance and the Southern Entertainment Awards ceremony set for Sunday, January 28, 2007 to celebrate and honor the 4th Southern Entertainment Awards, the outcome is expected to be a star-studded Awards presentation followed by a host of after-parties both in Tunica, MS and in neighboring city Memphis, TN.


The "Southern Entertainment Awards" salutes the outstanding artists, DJ's, record stores, websites, street teams, models, promoters, night clubs and graphic designers involved in the music and entertainment industry. This year's "SEA Awards" is said to present its most coveted awards, the "Justo Award", "DJ Geedamme Award", "DJ Screw Award", "Jam Master Jay Award", "Soulja Slim Award" and "Camoflage Award" which will be presented to show respect for the passing of some of the most influential people in Southern Entertainment.

Winners of the Southern Entertainment Awards are determined by fans nominating their favorite for each given category at the official SEA website located at http://www.southernentawards.com/vote.php. Nominations started on May 1, 2006 and will take place until August 15, 2006. After nominations end, all nominees will be calculated and then voting will begin September 2nd, 2006 with SEA award winner announcements to follow.
