Cerritos, Californnia commisions sculptor James T. Russell to create Veterans Memorial

The City of Cerritos has commissioned Lomita, California sculptor, James T. Russell to create his proposed Veterans Memorial on the Civic Center grounds.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) June 1, 2006 -- The proposed design is a twenty-foot polished stainless steel sculpture rising from a twenty-foot diameter black granite reflecting pool surrounded by five podiums representing each branch of the Armed Services.The Memorials scheduled completion is fall 2006. The public dedication ceremony will be on Veterans Day, November 11th, 2006.The community of Cerritos and local Veterans associations strongly support Russell�s concept and design. The project is funded by the Cerritos Redevelopment Agency.
