June 3, 2006 (Press Release) --
BMW's European Delivery Program ranks second out of the five programs in
number of cars sold in 2004. Trailing Volvo's sales that year by a mere
98 cars delivered, BMW makes up that deficit with its own set of perks,
which include an enticing two-for-one airline deal in partnership with
Lufthansa, as well as a driving tour developed by Condé Nast Traveler in
conjunction with Valerie Wilson Travel. The Munich factory offers a scenic
pick-up experience as well as proximity to the Autobahn — every driver's
dream.
BMW European delivery program participants are not only driving
enthusiasts but brand enthusiasts as well, and many return two, three and
four times for such pickups. Gene Pasquini, a European delivery diehard,
took advantage of the program in 1997 to purchase an M3 and again in 2005
when he bought another M3. Participating in the program saved him enough
money to cover the cost of his trip to Germany.
