Max Cruise Appoints Jon Hampton President
Max Cruise Entertainment has named Jon Hampton President of the company. Hampton is formerly of Live Nation / Electric Factory Concerts in Philadelphia, where he was a talent buyer from 2004 to 2006. At Live Nation Hampton handled bookings for clubs, theaters and arenas throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware. Previous to Live Nation, Hampton headed Heyday Entertainment which handled talent buying for The Trocadero Theatre and the North Star in Philadelphia.
Hampton brings over ten years of experience in the concert business to the Point Pleasant, NJ-based Max Cruise. Max Cruise founder and CEO John D’Esposito will work in conjunction with Hampton to restructure the company, which has quickly become one of the country’s rising independent promotion firms. The company produces one of the country’s most popular events, The Bamboozle Festival, which was held this past May at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The two day festival which featured popular acts Fall Out Boy, Taking Back Sunday and AFI drew over 55,000 fans. The company produces concerts, comedy, festivals and children programs in various venues from clubs to arenas. They currently oversee talent buying for one of the country’s most famous venues, The Stone Pony in Asbury Park, NJ.
Max Cruise focuses on artist development and has been credited for developing top selling artists such as Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance, Dane Cook and many more.
Hampton will oversee daily operations, implement strategic and financial planning, plus continue to buy talent on all levels. He is currently based out of the company’s Point Pleasant office.
