June 8, 2006 (Press Release) --
It is announced by Citizens Advice Bureaux that the calls it is now receiving for debt help is twice the number of calls it used to receive eight years ago. Being unable to handle their debt problem alone, more and more people are asking for help to sort out their debt problem.
June 6, 2006: After building up high level debts a huge number of UK citizens are seeking help to sort out their debt problem. This becomes evident when Citizens Advice Bureaux has announced that the number of calls they now receive for debt help is twice the number they used to receive eight years back.
A number of people have build up huge debt which will take a life time to pay off. The average credit bill of the people contacting them is £13,153, as reported by the bureaux. It is an increase of over a third on the figure produced three years ago.
The factors which held responsible for the high level debt among the UK citizens are low income and badly informed or poorly understood financial decisions. Citizens Advice Chief David Harker told that these people should be given some hope so that they can sort out their debt problem and handle their finance with better skill in future.
