Lexus dealerships using TSD LOANER Management Software to manage their service loaner fleets will now be able to print loaner agreements without the use of pre-printed forms. The loaner agreement will print directly from a PDF onto plain paper with all information, including the legal terminology. TSD is the only loaner software approved by Lexus to provide these “formless” agreements. TSD will offer the formless PDF agreements in conjunction with a service from Tara Graphics, Lexus’ form printing vendor. TSD LOANER Management Software is the exclusively factory-approved system for managing Lexus loaner fleets.
TSD’s loaner product now has an added layer of security for Lexus dealers: they may mark a vehicle as an LCCS vehicle. When marked, only an LCCS agreement can be printed with that vehicle assigned to it. This specification will increase the amount of protection that dealers have when loaner agreements are accurate and complete.
“PDF printing as offered by TSD and Tara Graphics helps to further protect dealerships from the liability of an incomplete or incorrect form,” says Jerry Marcotti, Lexus Service and Parts Operations Manager. “Automating the management of the loaner fleet is extremely helpful in improving customer service and management control, and adding a professionally printed, accurate agreement without the hassle of ordering forms is another great benefit of TSD LEXUS Loaner Management Software.”
Users of TSD LOANER Management Software will soon be able to print LCCS Insurance Identification Cards straight from the software, saving them from pre-ordering the cards from the insurance company or having to type the cards out. LCCS Insurance Cards will only be permitted to print for cars tagged as LCCS vehicles.
An important factor in making TSD LOANER Management Software the exclusive formless printing program was TSD’s secure, state-of-the-art data center, a best of breed managed hosting platform. Because the software is housed at the data center and accessed over the Internet, TSD and Tara Graphics will provide all form updates automatically. If the legalese on a form changes, the new agreements will immediately and automatically be printed from the TSD LOANER system, without the user having to perform any updates or other changes.
The update process protects dealerships from any changes in legal language on their document, and saves them form costs. Until now, dealership service departments have had to invest in forms in order to print their agreements. Aside from the expense, whenever there was a change or update to legalese, any stocked forms needed to be discarded. With the new formless printing method, dealerships will only need plain paper to print a completely legal and updated loaner agreement. Dealerships will need a duplex printer in order to properly print the forms.
