Privatefirewall by PWI Inc. is one of the easiest firewall programs for beginners. This software offers limited choices. If you don't have time or patience to customize or if firewall terminology is foreign to you, Privatefirewall is a good, all-purpose choice. After you install the softwall, you will find that its interface is very friendly. Privatefirewall was easy to use. The view screens were intuitive. The control panel has three stop signs along the top bar; the green light allows full online access, the yellow light allows conditional access, and the red light lets you stop all Internet access immediately. Besides,it has three Profile: Home Profile, Office Profile, Remote Profile. Every Privatefirewall profile can be configured and defined by adjusting the Network, Internet, and IP Security settings within the Main Menu.Moreover,there has Email Anomaly Detection, Port Tracking Report, Firewall Log,and other important sides.
But there is a little problem when I use it, after two days of Internet access, I never saw any traffic in the firewall log view. Either this log wasn't working right or I failed to set it up properly. Besides, after I browse the Internet all day, I found that Privatefirewall had let many cookies into my computer—this is not acceptable for a firewall. One of the cookies was a hijacker that successfully changed my search engine and homepage preferences.
In all,as a basic firewall, Privatefirewall does a fair job.It provide many basic things the firewall used,which may protect you from hackers and malwares. If you don't have time or patience to customize or if firewall terminology is foreign to you, Privatefirewall is a good, all-purpose choice. In conscience,it is very good,It is high time you test it yourself now.

Easy to Use, effective for most Internet Traffic, relatively cheap
This Personal Firewall was a snap to install and setup, with its default settings protecting my computer effectively. At $30, it is $10 less than many other firewalls, most of which I found a little cumbersome. This one is the right mix of performance and simplicity.
