The African American Business Summit 2006 is pleased to announce public speaker, distinguished financial journalist and best-selling author Kelvin Boston will be the opening keynote speaker at the Wells Fargo sponsored African American Business Summit 2006 on Thursday 22, 2006 beginning at Noon. Mr. Boston’s keynote will be at the Opening Luncheon Event which will also pay tribute to the winner of the Living History Maker Entrepreneur $5,000 award. The event themed - P3: Power Passion Profit, is scheduled June 21st - 25th at the Hotel Zoso, 150 South Indian Canyon Drive, Palm Springs, California.
Mr. Boston is the executive producer and host of the Moneywise with Kelvin Boston public television series. He is also the author of the best-selling book, Smart Money Moves For African Americans (Putnam). The New York Times referred to Boston as an “outspoken voice for economic empowerment”.
In 2000, Moneywise with Kelvin Boston became an official PBS series and began airing on public television stations nationwide. Today, Moneywise with Kelvin Boston is considered public television’s (PBS) premiere multi-cultural financial affairs television series.
In addition to Mr. Boston’s keynote, there will be The Turning Point Magazine/Wells Fargo Living History Makers Entrepreneur Award presentation and award winner announcement. Wells Fargo SVP, Regional President for the Los Angeles Crossroads Division and African American Business Services National Spokesperson Brenda Ross-Dulan will deliver opening remarks along with Turning Point Magazine President/Publisher and Founder of the African American Business Summit Pat A.
