Internet Shopping guide Gruntled.co.uk sees sales of Mobile Phones drop dramatically as the sun comes out and the football World Cup starts.

Internet shoppers are a fickle bunch. All it takes is a few days of sunshine and a World Cup, and they stop logging on. UK Internet Shopping Guide Gruntled.co.uk has seen a dramatic drop in sales in the past two weeks - coinciding with the good weather and that football tournament.
"Our biggest sellers are mobile phone deals, broadband and insurance," says Gruntled.co.uk's Ben Padstow, "but in the last couple of weeks, sales of phones and broadband have dropped significantly. Insurance sales have continued, but insurance renewal isn't something that can be ignored for a month! We're quite sure that the hot weather and the football have seen people leave their computers for either the pub or - shock horror - the high street. We're sure it's only a blip though. As soon as it starts raining again or, heaven forbid, England get knocked out, people will remember the good old internet!"
The High Street can expect its slowdown as people start to go on holiday in late July and August. But it looks like the slowdown for Internet shopping is based on more fickle reasons.
