June 19, 2006 (Press Release) --
Ground-breaking virtual-tour software from ChannelVR has revolutionized virtual tour creation with the introduction of Flash, and a new simple interface.
Now, anyone can look like a “techie”, pro photographer or a web designer using only a digital camera and a mouse.
And while Flash has overtaken Java in the online design world, until VRbrochure FX, integrated Flash virtual tours did not exist.
“Now, anyone can choose to publish their tours for web viewing in either Flash or Java – no technical skills or Flash software required,” ChannelVR CEO Evan Jones says.
The VRbrochure is a step beyond an average virtual tour. Before, virtual tours offered nothing more than a “quick spin around a room”, but with VRbrochure FX it's possible to create electronic brochure-style virtual tours, with 360-degree panoramas, 3D objects, photos, slideshows, maps, plans, descriptions and even sound.
VRbrochure FX has been designed to makes it easy for anyone to look like a design professional - Users can choose from any of the hundreds of professionally designed VRbrochure templates, or drag-and-drop to create an original.
"With the VRbrochure FX tours, you can take a virtual walk through a museum or gallery, moving from room to room. Along the way you can admire the paintings and objects of art, see the views from the windows, and pick up pieces of furniture and look at them from all angles. Explore the house from room-to-room with a virtual walkthrough, or take a movie-like guided tour,” Jones says.
“And there’s no need for special camera equipment either – It's easy to create slideshows and animations, link photos together and create interactive maps and floorplans, with nothing but a digital camera.”
VRbrochure is being used for Internet applications such as real estate sales, tourism and hospitality, retail and e-commerce, education and training, and museums and galleries.
