ANASTASIA CLARK announces she will be the featured poet at an Open Mike Poetry Night hosted by the MUSIC ART LOVE Gallery on Saturday, June 24, 2006 at 8:00pm. Patrons will receive a free poetry party gift bag- with a pen, bookmark, calendar, and other goodies. Light refreshments will also be served. The gallery is located at 38 South Federal Highway, #3, Dania Beach, FL 33004. Tel: 954-925-0425 or 954-805-5992. Look for it behind Canterbury Square, on the west side of Federal Highway, just north of Stirling Road.
Clark will be reading from a variety of her full-length books published by Sun Rising Poetry Press, including Grieving With Poetry- poems written after the death of her parents, Bloodsongs- poetry about women’s issues, Skeletons and Other Complaints- poetry about life’s challenges, Vagabond Pond- poems about feeling lost, and Electric Petticoats- poetry celebrating the spicier side of life. Clark will also be reading from her POETRY PETALS collection- themed booklets designed for gift and floral baskets. Titles include Friendship Poems, Healing Poems, Humorous Poems, Inspirational Poems, Nostalgic Poems and Romantic Poems. Books will be on sale for the event.
The MUSIC ART LOVE Gallery was opened in 2006 by owner Christine Alexander. Located in the world-famous Dania Beach arts and antiques district, the cozy gallery is fast becoming a favorite spot for local artists, musicians, actors, poets and other patrons of the arts. The gallery showcases both national and international media, creating an exciting collection of artwork, sculptures, music and gift items.
