Here’s how it works:
1. The client orders a Room Makeover online at designbyphoto.com
2. A short survey about the space needs to be completed and returned via e-mail with room photos attached.
3. Client receives back a photorealistic view of the room completely renovated by a professional designer.
The design is presented in a printable, mock interior design magazine cover plus article format. See our web site slide show for a Design by Photo Before and After.
How we do it:
We use photoshop to reconfigure furniture and add new pieces. We change floors, wall colors, ceilings, light fixtures, art, window treatments, anything and everything (within a given budget of course). Instead of dropping in furniture from a template of sharped edge, Jetson-like furnishings, we use real furnishings and real fabrics. We cut and paste existing furniture, and we take the time to render the photo as if we were putting oil to canvas; just our medium isn’t oil paint, it’s the “Crate and Barn” catalog.
