The world is waiting with baited breath for a first glimpse of the 2006 FIFA World Cup™ Official Mascot, successor to cheeky duo Tip and Tap, the legendary mascots for Germany's first FIFA World Cup finals in 1974.
The FIFA and the OC will unveil the new mascot on 13 November during the mass-rating "Wetten, dass…?" show on national prime-time TV, OC vice-president Dr. Theo Zwanziger announced in Leipzig on Tuesday (Photo: Dr. Theo Zwanziger).
The mascot has been developed in Los Angeles by the Jim Henson Company, creators of such world-famous characters as Kermit the Frog and Ernie & Bert.
