On 23 June, Evita (http://www.superbreak.com/home.cfm?company=BREAK&content=showdetail&setcode=29 ) returns to the West End in a new, vibrant and colourful production. Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical originally ran in London for seven years winning the Olivier Award for Musical of the Year and seven Tony Awards on Broadway. Furthermore, 90’s heart throb Patrick Swayze and the much loved Claire Sweeney will join the cast of Guys and Dolls as Nathan Detroil and Miss Adelaide from 10 July – 2 September.
Evita is set to be a top seller and tell how Eva Peron used her beauty and charisma to rise meteorically from the slums of Argentina to the presidential mansion as First Lady. She won international acclaim and adoration from her own people as a champion of the poor, whilst glamour, power and greed made her the world's first major political celebrity. The show tells Eva's passionate and tragic story through Andrew Lloyd Webber's most dazzling score and Tim Rice's most famous lyrics, including DON'T CRY FOR ME ARGENTINA, ANOTHER SUITCASE IN ANOTHER HALL and HIGH FLYING ADORED, together with YOU MUST LOVE ME, the Oscar winning song from the film of EVITA.
Packages to both shows are available – these include:
Three star package for Evita - £95.50pp staying at the three star Royal National Hotel on a bed and breakfast basis and including an upper circle ticket to see the show. Based on two sharing and valid any day of the week until the end of October.
Four star package for Evita - £123.50pp staying at the four star Hesperia London Victoria on a bed and breakfast basis and including a top priced ticket to see the show. Based on two sharing and valid Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights until the end of October.
