June 27, 2006 (Press Release) --
SERPENT UNDERGROUND has been getting themselves some radio airplay with songs like “Caroline,” “Hail The Dawn,” and “Tangled.” Getting 3 songs from your CD airplay is a pretty good accomplishment for any band. However, when, in addition to scattered airplay on conventional radio, ALL 3 Songs are on regular rotation on Internet Radio; that is a strong statement of this bands talent and the dedication of their fans to be calling in for requests! But their “Hail The Dawn” release is but a demo with 3 songs! So, this means 100% of the songs released on this band’s demo are getting airplay!
A powerhouse of Industrial / Metal based in Inland Empire of Riverside County in Southwest California, the band resides from a town called Temecula. Ever heard of it? If this band has its way, you will! Something wicked this way wanders with the powerful and well produced guitars, electronics, commanding and soulful vocals rounded off with a seriously hard hitting backbone of bass and shattering drums. If you like you music hard and heavy, you’ll like Serpent Underground!
Their first demo was called “Spread The Warning;” an aptly titled release from a band destined to take the scene by storm. "It’s best that I spread the warning now, because when they strike it will be quick and from out of no where."...(Quote from www.espudd.com review of "Spread the Warning" demo).
I’ve managed many acts that have performed in Hollywood and, believe me; the bands that perform in that scene are incredible on a regular basis. The crowds are used to seeing only the best of the best and it take a lot to get them excited! But excited they were when Serpent Underground lit into them with their intense and powerful sound and killer live performance. In the early fall of 2004, with the energy or their successful performances still cooped up inside them, the creativity began to spill over with the development of new material that became their latest 3-song demo “Hail the Dawn.” Again, capturing their live energy and power, the three songs on this EP, “Caroline”, “Tangled”, and “Hail the Dawn,” follow true to the bands visions and goals as an artist. The band goes on to tell about this release in their own words:
“The "Hail the Dawn" Demo unleashes a fury of wicked Industrial / Metal rhythms and soul piercing vocals. The "Hail the Dawn" Demo shows the diversity of its member's influences, as well as the infectious melodies and emotion provoking lyrics that tempt the masses.
Since its release , the “Hail the Dawn” Demo has received an overwhelmingly positive response. The song “Caroline” has been featured on the X103.9FM “Local Band Spotlight” feature (San Bernadino, CA). The song “Hail the Dawn” has been featured on the WLFC 88.3FM “The Foundry” radio show (Findlay, Ohio). All three songs from the demo---“Caroline”, “Tangled”, and “Hail the Dawn” have been on rotation on the Internet radio station “Metal Faction” (www.metalfaction.com).”
I strongly suggest listening to the 4 songs from both of their EPs an an additional track. Check it out on their MySpace site at:(www.myspace.com/Sepentunderground). You can also see the band’s own website at: www.serpentunderground.com/.
