June 28, 2006 (Press Release) --
Chattanooga, TN (PRWEB) June 24, 2006 -- "Martyrs of the Cross: Passion for Christ" depicts the world ... your world, from a chilling perspective of lost religious freedoms as we know them. Is it possible for Americans to lose this most sacred "right?"
Author Larry Skelf creates a compelling tale that offers such an unnerving scenario of end times in his latest work, "Martyrs of the Cross: Passion for Christ." Just how strong is your faith? Just how far would you go to fight injustice towards Christianity? Will you take a stand for Jesus tomorrow, maybe even today? Readers will find themselves asking these questions and more as they discover the world revealed in "Martyrs of the Cross" is not far from the one we live in today.
"Freedoms have greatly deteriorated in the last 10 years, 20 years, even the last couple of years. Religious freedoms and the laws that govern them are so very fragile. It doesn't take much to shift a country's tolerance of religious freedoms," Skelf said.
The book was written to proselytize, but "Martyrs of the Cross" and the Martyrs of the Cross ministry will help raise funds for shelters for abused women and to help pay for legal assistance for worthy legal issues, as well as to funnel funds to needy missionaries who are in abusive and dangerous situations.
He doesn't want people to think that being a martyr is all about dying for Christ. "A true martyr is about being willing to live for Christ. Willingness to live for Christ is also to be willing to die for Christ," Skelf said.
"It is a much richer and satisfying life than one would think," he said." It goes beyond asking God to come into ones life. The focus is on our existence beyond this life and making the most out of every day in the form of strength, courage, commitment and resolve as witnesses.
