SAS Developer

June 30, 2006 (Press Release) -- Candidate will work with a team of software developers in supporting a project that is based on SAS suite of products. He/she will be expected to serve as the Lead SAS developers and subject matter expert. Functions include serving as the technical expert on SAS infrastructure design and implementation. Working with project leads, architects and managers in gathering and decomposing systems requirements, reviewing technical and SAS systems development directives for conformity with Enterprise Architecture guidelines and turning requirements specifications into designs and implementation. " Essential Knowledge SAS developer with knowledge of SAS/Base and Macro 4GL programming language, SAS/Internet product (CGI broker) as well as demonstrated use of the SAS/Connect product, primarily with Oracle is needed to join a team of developers to support a large client in the DC metro area. Must have the ability to install and configure SAS software products in Solaris UNIX systems. Must be able to code Javascript and HTML directly to enhance existing applications and build new applications as required. Must be able to work collaboratively with other developers and subject matter experts, both on-site and external, to ensure consistency across the team and throughout the project.

Essential Education B.Sc in Computer Science, Computer Information Science, or related Engineering Degree"5 years of experience with SAS in a web development environment. Experience with UNIX command line and KORN SHELL scripting is required. Knowledge of SAS/Application Development Studio (JDE) desired. Java Certification and SAS Professional certification desired."Organizaitonal Fitconsiderations" Candidate must be able to successfully complete the Minimum Background Investigation of the U.S. Treasury Department. Ability to work independently and in a team setting is important.
