Manchester based agency Madhouse has been appointed to produce all advertising and direct mail for a rugby extravaganza weekend on 4th and 5th June at Twickenham.

Joint Managing Director, Peter Craven, himself a keen rugby player and coach said, “It’s very exciting to be involved in such an historical sporting event. Since the World Cup, rugby has captured the hearts of many more viewers and we want to encourage this and ensure a high level interest in both the testimonial and the Sevens competition. ”
The full marketing campaign is still to be finalised but is likely to include press and poster ads, with direct mail and z-cards to be distributed to clubs, schools and the England Rugby Supporters Club. Johnson will lead a team against a side captained by New Zealand winger Jonah Lomu. Lomu had a kidney transplant in July 2004 and the testimonial will be his first full match for three years.

I have been impressed with the fast turnaround of work from the briefing stage to presentation of final executions. The campaign, which breaks on 18th March to coincide with the Rugby World Cup Sevens in Hong Kong, will really prove effective thanks to this high quality work.”
