Ankjær-Jensen & Partnere, Copenhagen, joins Russell Bedford International accounting group

Russell Bedford International, a worldwide network of independent accounting and audit firms, has announced the appointment of Ankjær-Jensen & Partnere as the new member firm in Denmark.
Based in central Copenhagen, Ankjær-Jensen & Partnere was originally established in 1929 by Alex C. Ankjær-Jensen. It was reactivated in 1998 when Michael Ankjær-Jensen, grandson of the founder, left one of the Big-4 firms, where he had been a partner. Kim Hersland, also a former partner of the same Big-4 firm, joined in 1999. Michael Brink Larsen entered into the partnership in 2002.
All three partners are State Authorised Public Accountants (Statautoriserede Revisorer). The partners and senior personnel speak English as well as Danish. Some also speak Swedish, French and German.
The firm has grown quickly since it was re-launched. It now has some 26 personnel and has recently moved to new, larger offices to accommodate its expansion plans.
The primary focus of Ankjær-Jensen & Partnere is independent external financial audits. Other services include accounting and tax compliance, tax consulting, management consulting and mergers/acquisitions advice.
The client base is mainly medium-sized businesses, especially in the pharmaceutical retail, pharmaceutical manufacturing, restaurants, shipping, land development and building sectors.
