July 12, 2006 (Press Release) --
Laguna Hills, CA – July 14, 2006 – Mixed-media artist Lynne Perrella has signed a licensing agreement with Stampington & Company (publisher of art & crafting magazines/books and art stamp manufacturer) to re-release select lines from her best-selling Acey Deucy rubber stamp collection. The first line released is "Imperial Cargo", designs influenced by her zeal for the Asian culture: performances at the Kabuki Theater in New York; collections of Noh robes, costumes, and masks; Samurai uniforms and regalia; Chinese calligraphy scrolls at the Freer Gallery in Washington D.C.; and her fascination for Asian packaging designs.
“I love the Asian ability to combine spare zen-like ‘emptiness’ with lavish pattern and over-printing,” says Perrella. “I gave myself the challenge of creating a collection of images that together would tell a story about all the things I have learned and loved about the Orient.”
The Imperial Cargo collection is available in 11 different designs, each visually detailed - a common characteristic of Lynne Perrella stamps. The Imperial Cargo collection can be ordered directly from Stampington & Company via their website at www.stampington.com, calling toll-free at
(877) 782-6737, or at local craft stores. The next line of stamps to be re-released is the holiday Winter Tapestry collection, available in mid-August 2006.
