July 15, 2006 (Press Release) --
Hockey legend, Wayne Gretzky, has reported to new outlets in Glenndale Arizona that he is planning in coming out of retirement to continue an NHL pro hockey career.
"I'm really excited to come back to playing hockey again. I mean coaching is great, don't get me wrong, but playing is just far above that." Gretzky quoted this in conjuncture with a press conference where he has resigned his coaching duties.
The Great One, as the world has come to know him, has also expressed interest in the Vancouver Canucks organisation. "I've spoked to [Dave Nonis, Vancouver Canucks GM], and he's quite intersted in aquiring my services for his hockey club." And not only Gretzky's; reports coming out of Dave Nonis' management are saying Pavel Bure, a former Canuck, and Steve Yzerman, who just recently retired, are both coming out of retirement as they are very interested in playing with Gretzky on the Canucks. Early reports are also indicating they are willing to play for free, yet is remains to be seen if this is acceptable under the NHL's new Collective Bargaining Agreement.
