July 17, 2006 (Press Release) --
Atlanta, Georgia - July 15, 2006 – The June release of “The Church House”, a novel by Makasha Dorsey, has proven to be timely to say the least. This month’s issue of Essence magazine features an article creatively titled “Caught Up in the Rapture” and its not talking about the second coming of Christ.
The article and “The Church House” delves into the secret, lustful lives of pastors and the effects it has on their families, congregations, and the world’s view of the black church.
After reading Dorsey’s freshman novel, Lamour Publishing and Playhouse Productions wrote, “The man of the cloth is but a man before he is a man of GOD. … when our issues and struggles take a turn for the worse, what lengths will we go to in order to protect our secrets, lies, issues and our own personal struggles?” However, Lamour went on to praise the novel saying, “Makasha Dorsey has taken a strong look inside the lives of several Christians, new babes in Christ and the nay Sayers and has written a book that will keep your attention from the beginning to the very end of each page until you reach the end of the book.”
About The Church House
“ The Church House”, the first release of DORSEY publications, is said to be one of the most captivating reads of the summer. The novel can be found at Amazon.com, Barnes&Noble.com, Booksamillon.com and other major online retailers.
