Shady Palm Publications has just begun their semiannual writers' contest for poetry, short stories, humor, and plays. The winners will be featured in the book, Golden Quill: Volume One.

July 19, 2006 (Press Release) -- Shady Palm Publications has just kicked-off its semiannual writers' contest, The Golden Quill contest. It is designed to support and encourage aspiring writers. Submissions will be accepted in the categories of short stories, humor, poetry, and plays. The winners, as selected by Shady Palm's editors, will be featured in the compilation book, Golden Quill: Volume One.
All are welcomed to enter this contest. There is no entry fee. All submissions must be made online. The deadline for submissions is December 31, 2006. Winners will be announced in January, 2007.
