July 24, 2006 (Press Release) --
There is quite a sense of excitement unfolding as the founders of donetrading.com finished up one of their daily phone conferences with each other. The time is two ’o clock in the morning in Tallahassee, FL and due to a high demand in their schedule, Michael Beckford and Ismael Luxama have little room for regular board room meetings and little room for error. The two are discussing why they feel that donetrading will become successful and a household name.
While the two aren’t feasting on late night snacks and trying not to fall a sleep on the other after a long days worth of work, Luxama is directly working with Zachary Wilson to put the finishing touches on the website. Wilson is currently the website developer and engineer whom is subcontracted to take on this great project with both Beckford and Luxama. And he is not the first to work with the two black males whom were raised in Miami, Florida and attended Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. Wilson executed a wide range of skills and knowledge that were essential in the forward progress of the website.
On a usual Monday morning meeting, Wilson and Luxama are testing all of the links and pages to make sure they correlate properly with the website. On the other side of town at his apartment on Old Bainbridge Road, Beckford was coordinating his marketing ideas and strategies for donetrading.com to be a household name. With just his sales experience alone and having published a book, Beckford can be visualized as the more creative of the two, besides, whom else would read Advertising For Dummies®.
Unlike the many dot-com companies of the late 90’s and early 2001 whom built and destroyed their websites through lavish spending from venture capital firms, Beckford and Luxama are building their company from the ground up through self-funding, friends and relatives. By both partners contributing ninety-five percent of capital from their personal pay checks, they have really learned the dollar value in everything and operation that they do with the website.
“It would have been great if Michael and I had a lot of money to start with, but since we didn’t, we learned to do without and build on what we have,” said Luxama. Building off what they have is an understatement, considering the amount of capital they were able to put together while Luxama worked at Winn-Dixie® and Beckford worked with the Kirby ® Company.
“All that I can see at this point is us becoming successful, that’s the bottom line,” said a very motivated Beckford. Well there is no doubting his faith on donetrading.com as a website where people can trade anything they want including their pets. Beckford and Luxama are anticipating a fall launching of their website for all people to use.
