(Free-Press-Release.com) July 27, 2006 -- Dr. Williamson has practiced internal medicine in Macon, GA for the past 15 years and joined The Doctor�s Office, LLC to be a part of growing team of health care professionals. �The Doctor�s Office offers such great practice resources, that I will be able to focus solely on taking care of my patients,� explained Dr. Williamson, �Our patients will also have access the convenient services from a multi-location family practice, and still receive the quality home-town care they have come to expect.�

Dr. Donna Groover�s Macon Family Practice joined The Doctor�s Office in January of this year. Since then, the practice has experienced significant growth and made the strategic decision to bring Dr. Williamson on board.

The Macon-based practice will continue to provide the same quality of care, will continue to add services and technologies in-house under the TDO umbrella, such as in-house lab testing, on site x-ray, occupational medicine, and an in-house pharmacy.

The Macon location will soon receive an operational upgrade with the addition of an electronic medical records system. This will enable providers to access charts easily and securely both in the office and remotely. The system creates a digital patient chart, including, doctor notes, medication refills and lab results. The EMR also interfaces with the practice management system, diagnostic equipment and transcription services, creating a seamless experience for both patients and providers.
�Providing personable and high quality care are important to us,� explains Dr. Donna Groover. �The great part about joining TDO is that we still know our patients, and care for each one individually, but we now have access to resources that will enable us to be more efficient and additional services that will significantly improve patient care.�
