THE INFORMATION BELOW IS FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE!!

Two lifelong baseball fans and seasoned memorabilia collectors from St. Louis, MO have recently agreed to unveil a piece of the on going history associated with slugger Barry Bonds and his campaign for Hank Aaron’s title as the all time home run leader. James Plemmons 25, and Steven DeRossett 26, are now releasing the story.

In light of the recent attention surrounding the July 24th Ebay auction of home run ball #715, which will run for 10 days, James Plemmons and Steven DeRossett have made the decision to simultaneously auction off what has been dubbed the infamous “BALCO Ball”. On May 26, 2004 at the height of the steroid scandal, Barry Bonds slugged his 670th career home run at AT&T Park in San Fransisco. At 460+ feet, the home run was one of the longest Bonds has hit out of AT&T Park. Ordinarily, home run ball #670 would continue to be overshadowed with each home run that Barry Bonds hits. However, there is something very unique about this particular auction. This is something that no other collector in the world has ever seen…………This ball comes with a signed document cut, signed by the founder and former CEO of BALCO, Victor Conte. Mr. Conte has often been referred to as “the man that built Barry Bonds.” The ball is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from AT&T Park along with authenticity of Mr. Conte's Signature.

This is an auction that refers to BONDS, BALCO, and BASEBALL!

Due to security concerns over the potential value of the auction, James Plemmons and Steven DeRossett have agreed to conduct only in-person, over the phone interviews with members of the media. At such time, members of the media will also be provided with photographs. Both Plemmons and DeRossett are excited about the opportunity to share the circumstances surrounding this one of a kind story. We would love to share any info with you about the auction. To cover this story, interview Steve or James, or to just ask questions about the auction. Please call 314.393.9261 or 314.378.6055. Also, you can contact thebalcoball@yahoo.com

With the sale of the #715, this could be one of the most controversial auctions of all time!
