FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) August 1, 2006 --
Now, the television audience will get its first look at one of the hottest high-tech devices when Spam Cube is featured this Sunday at 10 p.m. ET/PT on HGTVs new show, I Want That! Tech Toys.
HGTVs latest version of the popular I Want That! series is tech talk that goes beyond geek-speak, appealing to the everyday person with profiles on the latest and most innovative devices like the virtual laser keyboard, Pez MP3 player and the bling-bling of lighted chrome rims. The Spam Cube will be part of the Tech Toys lineup during the shows second episode.
This is reality TV at its best. HGTV randomly called one of our customers, went to their home and filmed them using their Spam Cube. This is a really good way for people to see how well the Spam Cube works in a real life scenario, a review by the people for the people on prime time national television is as good as it gets said Spam Cube Inc. CEO Joesph P. Marino.
The show, hosted by self-proclaimed gadget geek Chi-Lan Lieu, will keep it real when it comes to reporting on products like the Spam Cube, serving up stories that audiences will find informative, useful and sometimes amusing.
The show features the items in real-world settings, with real people using them, said Nancy LeBrun, Head of Production and Development at NAHB Production Group, which produces the show. In Spam Cubes case, its a small business that is fighting the spam curse.
From Day 1, battling that curse has been the mission of Marino and co-founder Jonathan Fortin. The Spam Cubes cutting-edge ability to stop unwanted email has made it one of the most popular tech items of 2006, and the appearance Aug. 6 on HGTV (Repeat Sept. 6. 9pm. ET/PT) will likely create a new wave of interest for the product.
In order to be featured on Tech Toys, LeBrun said the products have to meet a certain criteria, and Spam Cube fits those qualifications to the T. Working in unison with every operating system, Spam Cube protects up to four home computers. Roughly the size of a pack of gum, the Spam Cube is a lightweight at four inches, but is definitely a heavyweight when fighting spam. With simple installation and no subscription fees, its easy to see why Spam Cube is getting national airtime on HGTV.
The items are selected for a combination of their fun factor, usefulness, unique qualities, newness, entertainment or design factors and price, said LeBrun. Items featured on the original I Want That often receive heavy volume of inquiries through the HGTV.com website.
Thats good news for Spam Cube, and bad news for peddlers of spam, viruses and phishing emails.
