Founded on 22 December, 2003, Lozt Paradise (Also referred to as simply “Lozt”) isn’t your typical web forum. One of the more unique features associated with Lozt is, the “karma” system. In karma, you can show your personal appreciation to other members by either augmenting (by one point) or reducing (likewise) a user’s karma. Karma indicates to other users the amount of respect that particular user receives from other users. Another interesting unique feature is the “Cash system”. Cash is earned for every post (Except in certain topics) made by the user who posts it. Cash value per post is dependant upon the user’s personal member level (which is upgraded every so often based on the amount of posts a member makes). Although Lozt cash has no “real world” value, it can be used to “purchase” little decorations for your public user profile called “blinkies”. Another note worthy feature associated with Lozt, is the “User Journal”. It is best described as a community blog that other members of your choice can read at their leisure. Otherwise it has all of the features of any typical web forum.
In terms of the types of subject matter discussed on Lozt, created by moderators, the staff of Lozt, and users have a wide variety of subject categories. Ranging from random posts in the “Late Night Café” forum, politics and current events in the “Society and Culture” forum, and even you can learn the latest in investment ideas in the “Today in Finance” forum. There are many topics all together (approx: 86000 articles) combined from all of the forums and sub forums. Your opinion whether pro or con of any subject are welcome so long as there is orderly conduct in posting your personal opinion.
Lozt is an Adult forum where it is asked that members are mature and/or are over the age of 18. Although it is considered “Adult”, members are asked not to post or distribute Adult material or pornographic pictures in any forum or sub forum. Lozt encourages free speech, although due to the sensitivity of the use of profanity, it is recommended that it is used at a minimum. Membership is open and all users are from differing religious backgrounds, as well as differing nationalities world wide.
