August 3, 2006 (Press Release) --
West Palm Beach, FL – August 3, 2006 - After months of silence, Daniel Imperato, the leading Independent Presidential Candidate for 2008, came out and expressed his disgust at the recent events that have occurred in Israel, Lebanon, Iraq, Yemen, and East Africa.
Once again, Imperato’s predictions proved true as we saw Hezbollah come from outside the American strata into the homes of every American on CNN, by escalating their conflict with Israel. Imperato encouraged everyone to view his February 14, 2006 video release on his website www.imperatobrooks.com.
Imperato then went on to explain why the Hezbollah-Israel Conflict happened, and why it didn’t happen sooner.
“First of all, the attack on Lebanon and the potential expansion into Syria and Iran would have taken place sooner if Ariel Sharon unfortunately did not go into a coma. The delayed reaction took place based upon Olmert's succession as Israel's prime minister.”
Imperato also alluded to Olmert’s “used-car salesman background” which was made public after his succession of Ariel Sharon. He then stated that Olmert’s leadership of Israel has brought it to “very dangerous place”, but pointed out “the action of eliminating Hezbollah should have taken place 20 years ago.”
Yet even as much as Israel is a participant in the current situation, Imperato pointed out that the United States and the world also should recognize how they have contributed to the current situation and how terrorism and terrorist organizations need to be eradicated.
“While the US contributes $400 million a year to the PLO, which basically builds a stockpile of Hezbollah weapons, and while the US lobbied Israel to allow Hamas to vote, and the international community restrained Israel from eliminating Hezbollah over the last 20 years, we the United States of America and the rest of the world did not act, and ought to be ashamed of ourselves.”
“There is no room in the world for any terrorist organization but because of poor leadership in the USA over the past several administrations, we have neglected not only terrorist organizations like Hezbollah and Al-Qaeda, but several other hotspots in this arena.”
What disturbed Imperato the most, was Bush’s call for a conditional cease fire in Israel when Bush has not supported a cease fire in any way shape or form in Iraq.
“It is disgraceful to see President Bush to call for cease fire when he hasn't called for cease fire in Iraq. He's allowing our children to be killed in Iraq for so-called democracy. Our leadership lets our children die while they support cease fire in the Israeli-Lebanon Conflict”
“I stand up to tell the American people today that this is a disgrace and, as I explained in the February press conference, I am going to explain the importance of a situation. Just like al-Zarqawi was a decoy in Iraq to take the minds off of Afghanistan so that Bin Laden can grow his poppy and grow his force, we now have the next decoy in Hezbollah because our solders in Iraq have been forgotten about.”
