The internet marketing strategy known as funneling is quite simple in theory, and highly effective when used in regards of relationship marketing.
The broad definition of relationship marketing is the art of placing an individual into a program or service without blatantly advertising, trying to convince or coerce them, and never coming directly at them with a project. This difficult process known as internet marketing can be a perplexing for most people unless one thing is understood completely.
People just do not want to be "sold" anything at all. If one considers in the times of today on the television, computer, newspapers, radios, billboards...everywhere...people are being "sold."
One thing to ponder, "what would make your opportunity or service any different than anyone else's?"
Answer...NOTHING!
In having stated the problem, its time for the solution.
Rules for effective marketing:
1. Never sell anyone...simply lead or funnel...The funneling process begins with the approach of giving good information about the particular product or service. Stating this in press releases or ezine articles is a tremendously effective way to get the message across.
2. Funnel the prospects into an effective auto responder system where...here again...the person is not "sold," only given more information. People as a general rule must be exposed to something seven times before considering joining or purchasing.
3. The most important of the rules...show the results of the system. People want to know actual results of the program. How they can benefit from that program, and ultimately how they can make money with the program. No hype or selling is required. Only demonstrating actual and factual results is all that is required.
People are quite intelligent in knowing what is good for them. One must never consider that they are the masters and the potential customer is the slave. Quite the opposite should be the course of action.
Professional internet marketers...masters of the art of marketing...are always approaching from an area of learning and response, never from an area of arrogance and misleading.
Following simple, basic and effective guidelines when attempting to market goods and services online will be quite rewarding when approached correctly.
