August 9, 2006 - Los Angeles, CA - Oscar Torre has nabbed the lead role opposite Spanish film and television stars Fernando Colunga, Miguel Baroni and Saul Lisazo in the Lion’s Gate heist film “Movidas.” Joe Menendez is directing the Jim McNamara project. Lensing is scheduled to commence in Los Angeles in late August.
Oscar Torre first garnered attention with the lead role in the critically acclaimed film “Libertad,” playing an artist in Cuba who is unjustly sentenced to prison. Torre’s other credits include lead roles in “The Versace Murder,” “Suicide Blonde,” and “Hunting of Man.”
