Martin San Roman
Chef owner Restaurant Rincon San Roman, Real del Mar Baja Mexico, combines the beauty of this ocean view spot with the delight of his dishes.
Chef Martin San Roman studied in Paris at the renowned school of Le Notre. He then continued his Hotel Management studies at Michigan State University. He has worked in several hotels like Tavern in the Green, Michigan; at the Westgate Hotel and Le Meridien in San Diego Ca, Le Fauchon and The Ritz Hotel in Paris, France. He then opened his first restaurant, Tour de France, in Tijuana, which bestowed him on innumerable national and international awards.
His authentic French Mexican Cuisine has made him Ambassador of Mexico in many countries overseas. He has participated in three World Cups y Lyon France in festivals at Café de la Paix en Paris; at the World Fair of Sial and in several festivals in London, England.
Chef San Roman had his own cooking show broadcasting in California and Baja, Mexico from 1995 to 2002.
He also had the honor of being the only Mexican chef to give cooking classes at the famous Cordon Blue School. He has served his own crafty creations to many Chief of State and Sports and art celebrities. His creativity and excellence brought him to cook in representation of Mexico for politicians and businessmen during the World Economic Forum the city of Davos, Switzerland.
Chef Martin San Roman has received more than 250 recognitions from 12 countries around the world. He has participated in food festivals in England, Spain, Singapore, Japan, Canada, USA, France, Switzerland, Italy, Belgium. Ireland and Mexico.
Vicente Etchegaray is member of the Chaine de Rotisseurs, Member of the Academie Culinaire of France, Member of the Vatel Club Mexico, Member of the five-diamond award club by the American Academy of hospitality and science.
Some of his experience is working at Hotel Ritz Carlton-Cancun, Hotel Stouffer Presidente Mexico City, Hotel Lucas Carlton-Paris, France; Le Tott de Passy–Paris, France, Le Fouquets-Paris, France.
