eInfochips Targets 60% YOY growth and plans to hire 300 software professionals by 2010 to work on cutting edge technologies

August 11, 2006 (Press Release) -- eInfochips Ltd, India’s fastest growing electronics design services company today announced ramping up of its software operations. eInfochips will be developing application software for product companies in the area of collaborative computing, wireless verticals and knowledge management.



“Our aggressive growth plans will offer software professionals with excellent opportunities to work on cutting edge technology domains. We are targeting 60% growth in our software revenues and expect it to grow up to Rs. 35 crore by 2010. To meet this explosive growth we will recruit more than 300 software professionals, over and above the engineering recruits in the chip designing & embedded space. The application software business is particularly attractive as it is easily scalable, offers a steady revenue stream and the opportunity to engage with customers with larger team size,” said Pratul Shroff, President and CEO of eInfochips.



The company has a strong skill-set base in Java, .net, C++ and Flash technologies and will strengthen company by recruiting more people with expertise in these technology areas. Currently, the software division houses a team of 60 software professionals focusing on application development, software QA & testing.



“We foresee a very attractive market window for companies focusing on technology verticals like the collaborative computing, knowledge management, wireless & biotechnology services. Our strong presence in embedded market makes it easier to reach out to customer for development of application software for variety of embedded application giving us an edge over the competition” said Tapan Joshi, Vice President Marketing.



The company has recently entered into an agreement to develop an application that will help scientists in managing the laboratory experiments and building models for drug research. eInfochips’ expert domain knowledge in QA & testing allows the company to deploy its services across customers’ multiple product lines. Also recently eInfochips was involved in co-developing a collaborative tool solution for Polyvision that was awarded as “Best New Product at InfoComm 2005”, Las Vegas, USA.
